The sapphire gemstone was hand encrusted with the 24k gold flake in Germany in the 1960's with the masonic symbols, the Square and Compass. The Masonic symbols the plum and the trowel are cast in solid gold on the sides of the ring. Encrusted precious stones are not made anymore anywhere in the entire world, making this blue sapphire ring very rare. This ring has an open back and weighs approximately 7 grams.
